his quietly quirky 1966 Czech New Wave classic won an Oscar for Best Foreign Film during the short-lived period of relative freedom called the Prague Spring of 1968. Adult themes of sexuality and some nudity. Czech audio. English Subtitles. 93 minutes.

The opening scene of the gem of Czech new wave of late 1960s; "Closely Watched Trains" by Jiří Menzel. A personal favorite of Eastern European cinema and classic European cinema in general.
