Shindler’s List tells the true story of a Czech, Oskar Schindler and is based on the book Schindler’s Art  byTomas Keneally.         

Schindler was born in a German-speaking village in Moravia, the heartland of Czechoslovakia in central Europe. With an enamel factory he owned in Poland and then moved to Moravia, he was able to save the lives of 1,200 Polish Jews.
