Concert with Pianist Dr. Karolina Syrovatkova and the Virtuoso Strings students of Academie Musique.

The Czech Heritage Museum invites you to a concert featuring pianist Dr. Karolina Syrovatkova and the Virtuoso Strings students of Academie Musique. 

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church parish hall, located at 300 N. Main St., Temple, Texas.

Dr. Syrovatkova will present "Lady in a Bow Tie," a performance from her series "Living with the Great Composers" She will play the classical music of Vitezslava Kapralova, as well as dramatize her life. Kapralova was a conductor, composer, and pianist. The performance is set against the backdrop of Czechoslovakia's creation in 1918 and in the time between the world wars, a golden era for the country. 

The Virtuoso String student ensemble of the Academie Musique of Central Texas will entertain prior to the concert. Acadamie Musique is a non-profit music conservatory in Temple, Texas offering instrumental and choral programs and housed at a building within walking distance of the Czech Heritage Museum. 

Dr. Syrovatkova was born in Prague and studied at Prague Conservatory, L'Ecole Normale in Paris, the University of Maryland and the University of Texas at Austin. She has won international competitions, including the North London and the Sidney M. Wright Presidential Competition.

Tickets are $15 donation per person.

When purchased as a pair: $25 donation for two tickets.
